Tapped (“the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a minimalist productivity app that helps you focus on one task at a time. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
By using Tapped, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
- Email address — collected when you create an account, used for authentication and account recovery.
- Apple ID identifier — if you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier from Apple. We do not receive your Apple ID email unless you choose to share it.
2.2 User-Generated Content
- Tasks, lists, habits, and subtasks — the content you create within the App is stored in our cloud database to enable syncing across your devices.
2.3 Subscription Information
- Subscription status — we track whether you have an active premium subscription to provide the appropriate features. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through In-App Purchases. We do not collect or store your payment details (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.).
2.4 Technical Data
- Device type and OS version — collected automatically to ensure compatibility and diagnose issues.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and maintain the App’s functionality
- Authenticate your account
- Sync your tasks across your devices
- Manage your subscription status
- Improve the App and fix bugs
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- We implement Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure you can only access your own data.
- Your password is never stored by us — authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with secure hashing.

6. What We Do NOT Do
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not display advertisements.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools.
- We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We do not collect location data.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or other device data.
7. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
- Free tier: Completed tasks are permanently deleted after the 10-second undo window.
- Premium tier: Completed tasks are archived and retained until you manually delete them.
- Account deletion: You can delete your account directly within the App under Settings. Alternatively, you may request deletion by contacting us at the email address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
For All Users
- Access your data at any time through the App
- Delete individual items through the App
- Request full account deletion
For EU/EEA Users (GDPR)
In addition to the above, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of your personal data (data portability)
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
For California Users (CCPA)
In addition to the above, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights
- We do not sell personal information
9. Children’s Privacy
Tapped is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
10. Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone’s Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled according to Apple’s standard refund policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
